• The HP Digital Sender Module requires engine firmware DIMM re
  4.48 or higher for the Mopier 240 and LaserJet 8000 or rev 5.44 o
  higher for the Mopier 320 and LaserJet 8100.

Enhancements/­Fixes in version 2.3:

• LDAPExport utility was not exporting entries beginning wit
  '&­Atilde;¦', '&­Atilde;&­#8224;', '&­Atilde;&­frac34;', o
  '&­Atilde;&­#376;'.
• When the printer was busy with a long job, a Scan Ahead cop
  job would time out after 30 seconds, never printing the page
  scanned ahead. Now the job Scanned Ahead waits to finish until th
  printer is available, or the user cancels the Scan Ahead job.
• Qmail SMTP server rejected 'bare LF' in email msg; now sendin
  CR/­LF terminator.
• Raw email aliases (e.g. 'john' with no Domain) entered fro
  Scanner. Added ability to suppress the 'Name not Found in Database
  message by using the '999#320*' Custom Options on Scanner. Thi
  feature can be used when the SMTP server resolves email addresse
  from an email alias.
• Added support for SMTP multi-line responses. Some SMTP server
  are configured to return multi-line responses as a single packet
  others as multiple packets. The multi-packet multi-line response
  were fixed.
  Also the 'Test' button on the email tab now performs a 'Mail From
  &­Acirc; ' to ensure that the Digital Sender Module service ca
  talk to the SMTP server after Connect.
• Windows 2000 Active Directory support. If NT Authentication i
  configured in the Windows 2000 environment and Active Directory i
  configured with Exchange 2000, authentication would fail. It no
  works with the following notes:
  The 'Match the' property must be'Username', the 'LDA
  property'needs to be 'sAMAccountName', and 'Obtain Address from
  must be 'mail'. Must 'Apply' any changes in Security tab prior t
  executing 'Test' button.
• When Faxing and Authenticating, if NT Authentication is enable
  and Fax Notification is disabled, the service would insert 'GUEST
  in the UserName field of the fax config file (.hpf). Now, th
  service inserts the Display Name of the authenticated user in th
