WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A REMOTE FIRMWARE UPDATE?­

The HP CLJ3600 Remote Firmware Update file available from the H
web site contains firmware for the printer/­,embedded JetDirect (i
applicable), all HP paper handling accessories used with the devic
and fax accessories (if applicable) in one convenient downloa
file. When the Remote Firmware Upgrade file is sent to the H
LaserJet CLJ3600 firmware for the engine and all connecte
accessories are upgraded.

WHO NEEDS THIS FIRMWARE?­

Similar to Hewlett Packard providing improved software for you
HP CLJ3600, Hewlett Packard will be providing firmware update fo
your throughout its supported lifecycle. A firmware update mayb
necessary if it is determined that you may benefit from th
resolution of any issue that is documented below in sectio
Enhancement/­Fixes.

Hewlett Packard will be providing firmware updates for your H
CLJ3600 printer throughout the support life of this product. Thes
will be available on the HP support web site and other source
listed in Readme.

DETERMINING THE CURRENT LEVEL OF FIRMWARE
To determine the current level of firmware installed on th
device:

For Single Function Devices:

1. Go to the devices control panel.
2. Press the green checkmark button.
3. Use the scroll keys and select the "INFORMATION" selection o
   the touch screen control panel.
4. Use the scroll keys and select the "PRINT CONFIGURATION
   selection.
5. Press the green checkmark button to print the Configuratio
   Page.
6. On the printed CONFIGURATION page look in the section marke
   "Device Information" for the firmware date code.
